Edwin Joseph Shewiyo MD, MSc is a faculty member in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at KCMC University in Moshi, Tanzania. His research interests are in artificial intelligence, data science, translational and implementation research in Global Health.
Dr. Shewiyo is part of the Global Emergency Medicine Innovation and Implementation (GEMINI) Research Center at Duke University, leading data science innovative interventions development, translation and implementation research to improve emergency medicine and trauma care in low-resource settings. His work focuses on leveraging technology to address critical healthcare challenges in resource-constrained environments.
Dr. Shewiyo will present on the application of artificial intelligence and data science in addressing global health challenges, with a focus on improving emergency medicine and trauma care in resource-limited environments. The presentation will showcase innovative approaches and real-world implementations.
