About SCOPH

The Standing Committee On Public Health (SCOPH) is committed to addressing the most pressing health challenges facing our communities through population-based approaches, health policy advocacy, and evidence-based interventions. We focus on preventing disease, promoting health, and reducing health inequalities across Tanzania.

SCOPH works at the intersection of medicine and society, addressing social determinants of health, environmental health concerns, and health system strengthening. Our initiatives span from local community health programs to national policy advocacy, always guided by the principles of health equity and social justice.
